In search of my "Ruutz" lol!

Finally my first post! LOL! Allow me to welcome you here to my blog.."From Mighty Roots"! My name is of course Shane Steward, and I am a 25year old African American male living in Salisbury, NC, from Mooresville, NC, currently working towards a Masters of Divinity degree from Hood Theological Seminary. I earned my Bachelors of Science in History with a minor in Anthropology from Western Carolina University in 2009. As a student of History, I must admit that I hold an intense and solid love of History, and continually find myself drinking in everything I can about the subject! In this past year, 2011, I lost several family members, amongst them, my Great Grand Mothers, Lillie Rice and Etta Ree Saulters. Their deaths sparked, or rather revived something within me that I had let to some degree die out, that being the research of my families History! Since then, I have amassed more information on my family, and my "Ruutz" (roots lol)! This blog of course is one way in which I intend to present the research of my family!
